I'm from Denmark, and therefore i would like to use Vanilla in danish (... Big surprise!)
I've seen in the documentation that a translation is about to be made, so obviously, i'm going to use that. But i have a more urgent problem regarding the language settings. As it is now, Vanilla won't show my local letter symbols, and the question is now:
How do i make Vanilla read/show local danish letter symbols?
Currently, the latest version has better support for unicode and the such, however the SVN is a little messy so pulling a copy will result in brokedness. 9.2.x has some support for this, however most characters will appear incorrectly or just not at all. My suggestion for the moment would be to sit back and wait with the rest of us until 1.0 rears its head.
I've installed another copy of Vanilla at another server, just for test's and such. The installation was made on PHP5, while my main installation was made on PHP4.
In my testcopy i realized that these lettersymbols i was missing in my main installation, worked!
Could it be dependant on the version of PHP? - If i was to change the version of PHP4 to PHP5, would it work then?
And if i did, would i have to make a fresh installation of Vanilla?
