    I get about one or two private messages a day from people asking if they can get a copy of the beta version of Swell.

    No, you can't.

    The version at lussumo.com/swell could only be considered pre-alpha. It was just a test version for me to play with so I could try some new ideas and try to think about what the actual product will be like. It will be entirely rewritten from the ground up before any of it goes public.

    I just released Vanilla 1, and I am not even thinking about starting another application right now. I'm taking a breather and working out some other non-application Lussumo things. When development eventually reaches a beta point on Swell, I will start a swelldev forum (like vanilladev) and open it up for everyone to comment and help debug.

    But if I told her once, i told her a thousand times, that there is no way Mark will give her an early copy of Swell. She's presently lying here on top of her usual comfy cushions on my computer desk. I know she will come to terms with the rejection eventually. She has been so down since reading the above post, that she came down from her usual high vantage point, way up on top of the computer monitor. That is a sure thing that she is depressed.

    But she will just have to get used to it. Swell has been abandoned and she will have to make do with other lesser blogging scripts out there. Anyways, Fluffy passes on her love.

    I can't wait for Swell.. I think I have more use for Swell then Vanilla at the moment (or even in the foreseeable future).. but I'm just a Lussumo nut so bring anything on :D

    I'm not that bothered about Swell.. I want the mass email thingy for collecting interested people's emails. I think it was called Lemonade.

    interesting - first time i heard of Lemonade in here....an extension?

    I would love an entirely seamlellsy integrated blog and chat system all in one.....at the minute i have tied in the awesome nucleus (open source) fo rmy bloggers; with Vanilla (for the chatters), on my website.

    Lemonade is another app Mark let out the bag a while ago but i've heard nothing since. I think he was just teasing us.

    Toivo I had a conversation with zordon earlier about building a universal migrator script. It might take a while but if it comes around I'll see what i can do about packing wordpress in there.
