Hey everyone. I'm having some trouble doing a fresh install of Vanilla on my hosts server. Any help would be very much appreciated, as I've gone through the Troubleshooting section and tried most, if not all the fixes that seemed relevant.

Here's how it goes. I copy all my files to a directory using Fetch on OS X. Go to that directory. Get to the setup page. Click "Install a comepletely new blah blah." And then I get thed following error.

Warning: main(../library/Framework/Framework.Class.MessageCollector.php) [function.main]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/teamninj/public_html/forum/forum/setup/installer.php on line 15

Fatal error: Cannot instantiate non-existent class: messagecollector in /home/teamninj/public_html/forum/forum/setup/installer.php on line 73

    So yeah, there it is.

My host is running PHP 4.4.4, MySQL 4.1.19 and is running a Linux shared server w/ custom kernel.

I've tried reuploading, changing the permissions, etc. I've also searched through the forums and FAQ to no avail. I'm lost at this point. I have no clue.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm really excited to get Vanilla up and running! :)

    Thanks.

Can you browse to the folders containing the files it cant find in your ftp client and verify that those files are actually there?

Whacky. I feel kind of stupid at this point, but it looks like Fetch botched the upload and renamed the files some very wierd things.

For example, Framework.Class.MessageCollector.php was somehow renamed Framework.Class.Messa#B7F99.php

Now, is this because I'm uploading the files improperly? Perhaps in the improper format? Or is this just Fetch being stupid.

It's probably truncating them for some reason though why it'd truncate them then add a bunch of junk on the end i'm not sure. Try a different ftp client?
