    Google has a great application I use frequently for keeping my self up to date on certain things as they come to happen on the internet. For example mentions of 'Blue Origin' in the news.

    It would be awesome if I could set up a news feed in my sidepanel that posts links to articles that are in a designated google account's alerts to my vanilla board.

    Hey Falleson - I'm no expert, but there's a feedreader extension in the add-ons repository by Folletto. Haven't tested it myself, but it's been rated, so it should work okay with any rss feed that the application would push out...

    yahoo has a cool feature that lets you create your own rss news feeds ( http://news.yahoo.com/rss ) so I just put in what I wanted and combined it with the extension FeedReader as jsamlarose suggested and it works great.
