    In the Dynamic Ranks discussion, Dinoboff posted a current column from Jakob Nielsen on participation inequalities.

    Given the vast amount of lurkers to forums, an add-on that captured the number of views per discussion (and their distribution over time; greedy) would be very useful in gauging community interest.

    I'm not sure whether this is trackable in principle and, if so, how hard it would be to do.

    The UserDiscussionWatch table can be used to gauge how many registered users have read a thread, but doesn't track multiple reads by that user.

    An related add-on that may work for this is Discussion View Counter
