Style-wise, and the location of everything in the sidepanel and the link in the discussion list... I think it looks great and its right where I'd want it.
apart from the check box bug... all others pictures are related to incompatibilities with REWRITE_extension.php AFAICS if you de-activate that extension and try to reproduce the same action look if you got the same issues. you shouldn't have any of them... will look in to make it compatibile with rewrite extension... as it looks like lot of people are using it....
regarding the check bug, can you tell me what platform and browser you use?
I would really be nice to have this. Often people put comments in the wrong discussion and there is nothing I can do about it except delete it and repost it under my name which I don't like doing, however it's necessary for me to keep the forum organized.
I've got it installed, and it took a minute to figure out, but I think it works well for what I want it to do and that is move comments to different dicussions. I did however lose the attachments.
I'll continue to test it and edit this comment with updates. This will definitely be a great tool to have. Thanks for your work on this!
ah... interesting.... you need an extension for those attachments isn't it no? I think is that extension from jazzman.... that uses it's own table to store the attachments.. if I remember correctly.... from all feedback I received lately... the extension looks like is working more or less correctly (maybe not enough to a public release??)... the problem arise with third party extensions.... maybe it will be a good idea make a list of extensions widely used and make them compatible with this extension...
I think that Vanilla is a really GREAT! forum in all aspects and the way to expand it is GOOD, but it seems to be bad at the administration and moderation issues like the described here.
I have a spanish-full-add-ons-featured-and-extras-vanilla forum here ¿is't it nice?
I thing I nned some simplet enought.
When I click to 'Moderate this Discussion' the only thing I need is to select some comments and 'split' them into a brand new topic. It seems that your extension does that! fine (I don't know whi vanilla doesn't has this kind of extension becouse pople put comments in started topics!! I don't know why)
Late, I click on 'Slit perfect for me mode', I select the comments, put a nwe titel and click into 'Slpit this discussion' and.... it hapens notting :(
See this screenshot! It seems to douplicate the comments and maybe it causes the errors
I understant than you might not have a lot of time and don't erans nottinh doing this but if you want some feedbakc here it is!
from your screenshot could not see the duplicates you're talking about... but I guess is some extension that is not compatible with mine... and most probably at first look I guess you're using nice url extension with the rewritemod..... and I did not had time to fix that but it's in my todo list... just really biz with real life jobs at the moment... but as soon as I got more spare time will try to fix that... as it seems that everybody as that extension... if only I knew that before! ehhehe
well finally a break from work! I've been diving again on to it, and specifically in the "nice url" problem.... and I c is getting out of my hand there..... my apache log gives me this error: [error] PHP Notice: Undefined index: REWRITE_extension.php?PostBackAction=Split in xxxx/vanilla/library/Framework/Framework.Functions.php on line 447
looking at the function GetUrl and more specifically at line 447 $PageName == 'index.php' && $Value != '' ? '' : $Configuration['REWRITE_'.$PageName]
well afaiu it expect to have index.php and instead there's my extension.php?PostBack.. that pops up....
I've tried to see if I could do something on my code just tweaking my IF statements... also I've tried to tweak the .htaccess file but no result in both of them... and honestly I'm shooting in the dark....
it works and this is not the discussion to post in for this cuz this is in 'addon requests' i think there should be another one in the category 'addons'
