    What programs do you use to transfer your music? Does anyone know a program which will take the music off it?

    or if you feel like getting dirty...

    Make the iPod a external hard drive, make sure the view hidden files option is on in windows and copy the music folder

    if you reimport into iTunes with folder organisation on, the files will be renamed back to their original filenames

    I also believe there is a winamp plugin called ml_ipod or something also.

    you can browse your ipod with an ftp program and set "show hidden files" then youll see all files...on mac i use transmit for it

    cd /Volumes/*ipodname*/iPod_Control/Music/

    Easy as pie. okay maybe not pie, but certainly an upside down cake. Okay, they're not so easy. Hmm there goes my comparison.
