    After installing with the mysql password field blank, the site gave errors. I had to add the following line to /conf/database.php

    $Configuration['DATABASE_PASSWORD'] = '';

    I am running PHP5, MySQL 5, Apache, and Windows XP.

    Local install (using XAMPP) was identical to the online version for me... (I just specified the local IP address instead of using "localhost").
