My name is Kelly Anches. I've installed Vanilla and ran into some trouble. Can anyone help me out?
Here's my problem: I've made a mistake while installing the software, cleaned up everything on my server and upload the software again. When I tried to re-install I received this message:

"We came across some problems while setting up Vanilla...
Vanilla seems to have been installed already. You will need to remove the conf/settings.php, conf/database.php files, and database tables in order to run the installer utility again".

In order to correct this error, I deleted the setting.php and database.php in de conf directory and created another database. But the problem continued.

I dropped the directory on my server and uploaded the software again, but the same message.

How can I solve this problem? I'm sharing the MySQL database with another application. How do I recognize the Vanilla tables in the database?

    Regards and thanks,

Thanx AlexL, I did what you suggested and it worked. It tried this solution before, but apparently, I made a mistake because it didn't work then. But now, happily, I have my new forum and can move forward from here.

    Thanx, one more time.

    Regards,
    Kelly
