    I am pleased to announce the release of Vanilla 1.1.3.rc1. This is a release candidate for developers and early adopters. A summary of security, bug, and feature changes/additions can be found on the change log.

    I must mention that I did almost no work in this release - it was entirely handled by the folks at the bug tracker and here at the community forum. In particular I have to thank Damien Lebrun (aka Dinoboff) for taking the torch and keeping me informed about everything that has been going on.

    Ditto re: Mr Lebrun's great work.
    When will 1.1.3.rc1 be installed here?

    No files added (I think), but all the files has been changed, most have been just changed for adding documentation or to make indentation consistent.

    Don't know if this has been fixed, but since it wasn't mentioned here, I thought it would be worthwhile pointing it out.

    That's been fixed since the release candidate. I assume it will get rolled into the 1.1.3 release.

    Am I too late to come to the table with a "bug"? The "Bottom of Page" and "Top of Page" functionality in the base Vanilla theme 'could be better'.

    That's too late for new functionality, we will just fix bugs between now and the the release of 1.1.3. But we can still add your idea to the bug tracker for Vanilla 1.2.

    Wanderer,
    That link only lists the changes between 1.1 and 1.1.2. I think Vaz was looking for a list of files between 1.1.2 and 1.1.3rc1

    BTW, I kinda like how they announce upgrades of WordPress:

    http://wordpress.org/development/2007/09/wordpress-223/

    Notice how the link to "files changed" automagically generates the necessary diffs via the bug-tracker. Very nice and easy for simple upgrading.

    CSS changes are just a couple known IE6/IE7 bugs:
    http://lussumo.com/bugs/discussion/18/ie7-css-glitches/
    http://lussumo.com/bugs/discussion/22/ie-6-password-reset-form-bug/

    The only one left I know about is the advanced search link moving to an unintended position on the search page when something like the LussumoBanner is at the top. (I know of a possible fix too... gonna try to fix this one)

    For the advanced search link position, I've changed it in the new theme I'm working on to this:

    .SearchSwitch {
    display: block;
    float: right;
    margin-top: -25px!important;
    color: #f60 !important;
    }

    And it looks fine in FF, IE7 and Safari 3.0
