where do i pick up the html formatter at? also, how do i make the background personalized with my own image/colors? thanks for your help.

From the addons pages. As for the background you'd need to play about with the css files. There are tutorials all over the web regarding how to do this.

First, I suggest you to remove your email adress from the discussion on the Vanilla forum, or at least, replace @ by [whatever] and the dot too.

Then you'll go to Vanilla Add-ons (the link is in the top banner of the lussumo website), and you'll search for html formatter (around 5th or 6th found).
Install the add-on as described here. You should get a radio button to select "html" when composing a comment.

For the customisation of visual things, you could start reading the docs (we have nice documentation, fell free to use it).
If it's css things only, just tweak themes/MyNiceThemeThatWasJustCreated/styles/default/vanilla.css

Then come back and start a new discussion if you have some more questions.

Now I wonder what you meant by "i could make it worth your while", do you have an Asus EEE for me for Christmas?!

what i meant by making it worth your while was payment for tweaking my forums. Thanks for the little tutorial. Ill try this out and if i still have problems i will be back :). thanks again
