Would it be a good idea to keep the default style available for members on a board?

I want the forums to have some consistency with the front page but feel kind of bad forcing a specific style on to members.

Or maybe I can just have the custom style load by default? I tried to remove the Vanill style under style management. When asked what style to replace for Vanilla, I chose the custom style. However, upon logging out, I noticed that non members still saw the default style. Should I just drop the custom files into the default folder, rename, then add Vanilla again so users can choose it if they don't want the custom?

deleting the main vanilla theme shouldn't be an issue unless you just don't want it. I like it, but I removed it from my boards (sorry mark!) :)

don't forget you'll also need to define the "default" style of the board under application settings: Default style folder: _styles/vanilla/_____

that will be the default theme everyone receives to use before selecting their own.

Ah that's why things were buggered up for a bit. I ended up just dropping the custom style into the vanilla folder and renaming vanilla to someting else in the style management. Oops. Oh well. I'll leave it as is. It's all working for now.

yeah, renaming the style just gives it a name, it's still going to pull and appear out of the /vanilla/ directory though until you change it all to match up how you want in your globals

Ok all fixed. Thanks for the tip. I should make everything consistent.
