    I've been reading some discussions about scalability issues in Vanilla forums.

    I am working in a project making a Vanilla install for virtual events being parallel to real-world forums / meetings / conventions, etc.
    the idea is to get few thousand users (up to 10+) making an "intensive" use of the forum (during up from few days to a week long)

    I'm willing to hear experiences, advice, opinion, must-have extensions...

    As I recall there haven't been discussions about Vanilla having issues with scalability but whether it will have issues with scalability. This is an example of one of those discussions.

    may be I was misunderstood. I referred to discussions about scalability in Vanilla - not about problems with scalability on Vanilla:

    so yeah, I'd like to hear about real experiences with Vanilla similar to the one I'm trying to approach (but other kind of (relatively) big systems are also very welcome!)
