eh, i dont think it's really necessary. i'd rather see autolinking of URLs than new targets, because if you're running firefox (like it seems the majority of people are doing these days, thank god) then you can just middle click and the URL will open in a new tab. this works with pretty much every other browser besides IE.
i'm sure that could be accomodated in a stylesheet edit if you were so minded. i couldn't imagine wanting to get a new window with each thread. but to each their own.
i like getting my threads in new windows. . in a forum, ill scan thread titles, shift click open all the ones that i want to read, then slowly go through all the pages. seems more efficient for me than to constantly go back to the index page over and over again
but i like to control it myself with shift clicking, i dont like the forum forcing it on me
Naw, I just meant links within the posts. So when I create a thread that mentions an article, I want that linked article to open in a new window, not click through.
But I see whatchu mean outbreak, middleclick is diddly.
I think that is best taken care of with the clipboard if there was a predefined (but editable) code clipboard with target="_blank" link then it would be pretty easy to make links open in new windows
I guess. I just figured since it's the normal thing for forums to do, that it'd be included here too. It's what I'm used to and what I figure most other folk would be used to as well. But its nae major bother really!
