I've just had to do a job at work which basically involved desiging 50+ variations of the same magazine masthead, each one with a slightly different title and subtitle, and combination of colours from a set palette. The graphic in the background is pretty simple just a couple of rectangles with rounded corners etc.

By the time I got to about the 20th variation I started to wonder if you could write some web software that would let you type in the 2 lines of text, and then choose 3 colours from the palette, and then hit a button to generate a hi-res jpg?

Out of curiosity, would it be possible to do something like this, using gd or similar?
